Marisa Taylor lives in London, UK with her husband and two daughters. They are a mixed family of Jamaican, Canadian and German. Since becoming a mother, Marisa has noticed how difficult it is to find books that represent children from all parts of the world and so she made it her mission to change that. It was important to her to help children learn from an early age that self-love and diversity are beautiful. This is how her first book "Happy Within" was born, which has been translated into over 15 different languages. The idea behind the bilingual books is to create diverse resources that encourage children to learn a second language while celebrating multiculturalism.
She is passionate about learning and teaching languages as it is a key element in connecting with people from other cultures.Her wish is to inspire and motivate parents and children of all nationalities and backgrounds to love themselves as they are and to be happy within themselves.
Marisa speaks German and Spanish with her children and wanted to create a bilingual series of her book "happy within" to help her children improve their language skills and to help other families learn another language together.
